Ceiling and View from the Pond!

This is the tray ceiling in the master bedroom. It is wired for a ceiling fan and light and of course, the can lights over the bed!

Here's a quick glance at the ceiling in the living room.

Here's the cement for the front porch. The steps are next to come!

Here's a shot of the back of the house. They brought some sand in so we could walk back there finally (and all the snow melted)!

Here's Tommy checking out the pond behind the house. It's finally dry enough to walk around back there!

Insulation and Furnance

Here's the shiny new furnace! I'm most excited about it is because they can start the drywall process now that it is in place and hooked up!

The gray stuff in between the studs is the insulation. If you look closely the outlets are covered by red tape. The one highest up the wall is Tom's light switch so he doesn't have to get out of bed to turn off the light! He was pretty excited about that little toy!

Here's another look at the basement floor. They also insulated and covered the outside walls. It makes sure we are Energy Star compliant and keeps the insulation in place until we decide to finish the space!

Cement Floor and Electric

The wiring is done and the recessed lights are in. It's starting to look more and more like a house!

The basement floor was poured on Friday! They will get the mechancials this week and start insulating and drywalling!

Windows, Doors and Shingles...Oh My!

The windows and doors are installed and the front half of the roof is shingled! We are getting it close to closed up.

Warmer Weather = Faster Work

The guys got a lot done this week in the warm(ish) weather. They have the whole house sheeted including the roof and the windows have been delivered. They should have it closed up by the end of this week. Here we are in our front door!

This is the frame for the fireplace in the living room. The room behind it is a bedroom.

The Garage is Up!

It's starting to look more like a house. The garage is up, most of the house is sheeted and one side of the roof has sheeting. They are taking advantage of this great weather!

A Few Walls

They have a few of the walls up! Here we are standing on what is going to be our front porch!
